Privacy policy

This page explains what vscy.fi collects, what it is used for and what your rights are. The site is built to collect as little as possible: it sets no tracking or advertising cookies, and personal data only arises when you contact us yourself.

2. What we collect and where it comes from
Forms. The site has four forms: contact, meeting request, training registration and guide download. They ask for your name, company and work email, and optionally a phone number, website, company size, need, budget range, preferred start and a free-text message. The forms carry a hidden spam trap that collects nothing about you.
Direct contact. Messages you send by email, phone or WhatsApp, and the contact details that come with them.
Client relationship. Once a contract exists: contract and invoicing details, contact people, and access to the advertising and analytics accounts you grant us for the work. The accounts and their data remain yours.
Technical data. The server logs the IP address, timestamp, requested page and browser identifier of each request. The log is used only to keep the site running and secure.
3. What it is used for, and on what basis
Answering an enquiry and preparing a proposal – based on steps taken at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying.
Handling a training registration and invoicing it – based on the contract.
Delivering the guide and sending the newsletter – based on your consent, which you can withdraw from the link at the end of every message.
Running the client relationship and bookkeeping – based on the contract and the obligations of the Finnish Accounting Act.
Data is not sold or passed to third parties for marketing, and no automated decisions or profiling are made from it.
4. Cookies and embeds
vscy.fi sets no analytics, tracking or advertising cookies of its own and carries no third-party tracking pixels, which is why there is no cookie banner.
The contact page and the Helsinki page embed a Google Map. It loads only once you scroll it into view, and when it does Google may set its own cookies and process your IP address under Google’s privacy policy.
Links to Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, WhatsApp and the AI assistants take you to that service, where its own terms apply.
5. How long data is kept
Enquiries and quote requests: at most 24 months from the last contact, unless a client relationship follows.
Client relationship data: for the duration of the contract and afterwards as long as the Accounting Act requires (vouchers six years from the end of the financial year).
Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe.
Server logs: for the short period the technical purpose requires.
6. Processors and transfers
We use the following providers, which process data on our behalf and under contract with us: site hosting and server logs (Vercel), delivery of form submissions to email and our client records, email and calendar services, and Google for the map embed.
Some providers operate outside the EU/EEA. Transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
7. Security
The connection to the site is encrypted (TLS). Form data is transmitted encrypted, and only the VSCY staff who handle enquiries and client accounts have access to it.
8. Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have it corrected, erased or transferred, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent you have given. Send requests to severi.saari@vscy.fi; we answer within a month.
If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland.
9. Changes
We update this policy when the site’s features or the services we use change. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
