Analytics and measurement
A wrong number is worse than a missing one. With a missing number you know you are in the dark. With a wrong one you make decisions on false grounds and believe you know.
First plan in two weeks · No long contracts

On most sites measurement is broken somewhere: a conversion fires twice, consent breaks tracking, or campaign tags are missing from half the traffic. None of that appears in the report as an error. It appears as a number that looks credible.
So we always start by checking what the current data actually says, before optimising anything on the strength of it.
What we do
- GA4 and Tag Manager audited and rebuilt where needed
- Conversions and their values, so the euro is in the number
- Server-side measurement where the browser is not enough
- Consent and tracking configured so both work
- A report that answers the question rather than showing everything
What we have done
S-market, Tanssikoulu DCA and Gate Apps show how measurement is built at different scales.
How we measure
- Data integrity: whether analytics reconciles with the ad platforms
- Conversion coverage after consent
- Share of traffic carrying campaign tags
- Whether the report leads to a decision or to an archive

How measurement gets fixed
Measurement is not a report, it is a foundation. If it is wrong, every decision built on it is a guess.
Account and measurement
An audit: what is measured now, what should be, and where the numbers diverge between the ad platforms and analytics.
Structure and audiences
Events and conversions defined by the business rather than by the tool’s defaults. Naming is agreed once and kept.
Creative and launch
Server-side measurement and consent handling set up, so there is usable data left after cookies.
Optimisation and reporting
A report that answers the questions management actually asks, and that leads to a decision rather than an archive.
WHAT WE TRACK
What the monthly report says
Data integrity
whether analytics reconciles with the platforms
Coverage
conversions after consent
Campaign tags
share of traffic with a known source
Decisions
whether the report led to one
WHEN WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS
Three situations where we say no
When only a pretty report is wanted
A dashboard without sound measurement is a beautiful way to present a wrong number. The foundation gets fixed first.
When nothing will change
Measurement pays for itself only if the numbers lead to decisions. With no decisions, the report is a cost.
When consent is to be avoided
We do not build measurement that works around cookie consent. That is a risk to the client, not a solution.
FAQ
Frequently asked about analytics and measurement
Why do analytics and the ad platforms disagree?+
Because they count different things: the platform credits the conversion to whoever saw the ad, analytics to the last source. The gap is normal; what should worry you is not being able to explain it.
What does cookie consent do to the data?+
Some visitors disappear from browser-side measurement. Server-side tracking and modelling recover part of it, but complete data no longer exists and nobody should promise it.
Do we need GA4 or something else?+
It depends on the need. GA4 is enough for most; where privacy or data ownership matters there are alternatives. The tool follows the questions, not the other way round.
What have you done?+
Measurement is part of every engagement. The practical examples show up in the case studies, where reporting is built on sales figures rather than platform defaults.
