Conversion optimisation
Doubling conversion rate halves the cost of a customer without a single extra euro of media. It still gets skipped, because increasing the media budget is easier.
First plan in two weeks · No long contracts
Conversion optimisation is not changing button colours. It is finding where people leave and why, and fixing it in the order that plugs the largest leak first.
Most leaks are not on the site but between the site and the ad. The ad promises one thing, the page talks about another, and the visitor does not stay to work out which was true.
What we do
- Analytics checked first, because wrong data leads to the wrong fix
- Heatmaps and recordings, which show where people stop
- Form analysis: which field loses the people filling it in
- A/B tests on one variable at a time
- Aligning the promise in the ad with the one on the page
Who this fits
Optimisation pays off when there is enough traffic for the result to be readable. Under a thousand visitors a month a test takes too long to be useful. Get the traffic first.
We have not published a separate optimisation case yet, so there is no reference on this page.
How we measure
- Conversion rate by page and by device
- Cost of acquisition before and after
- Form abandonment rate
- Statistical significance, not a two-day difference

PROCESS
How optimisation runs
Optimisation is measurement, not an exchange of opinions. So the order is always the same: data, hypothesis, test, decision.
Account and measurement
Measurement fixed and the current state opened up: where visitors drop out and where in the funnel the money is being lost.
Structure and audiences
Hypotheses put in priority order. We test the one with the largest effect and the smallest effort first, not the one with the most opinions attached.
Creative and launch
Tests run one variable at a time and for long enough. A test stopped too early produces a confident wrong answer.
Optimisation and reporting
A decision: the winner ships, the loser is documented. What did not work is also a result if it stops the same thing being tried again.
WHAT WE TRACK
What the monthly report says
Conversion
rate by step
Drop-off
where visitors leave
Test power
whether the result holds statistically
Return
added revenue with no added media
WHEN WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS
Three situations where we say no
There is too little traffic
Testing needs visitors. Under a few thousand monthly visitors, a test cannot reach a reliable result in reasonable time.
When the site cannot be changed
Optimisation is making changes. If each one needs a month of approvals, there is no room to run enough tests.
When the problem is the offer
Button colour does not fix a price or a product that fails to convince. Then the offer gets fixed, not the page.
FAQ
Frequently asked about conversion optimisation
How much can conversion improve?+
It depends where you start. In a clearly broken funnel the gains are large; in an already optimised one it is fractions of a percent, and even then the effect is meaningful.
How long does a test take?+
Usually two to four weeks, depending on traffic and conversion volume. A test ends when the result holds, not when it looks good.
Do we need a testing tool?+
Not always. Some of the best improvements are straight fixes needing no test at all: a broken form or a missing price gets corrected, not tested.
Do you have a conversion optimisation case study?+
We have not published one, so there is no reference on this page. Another channel’s results are not evidence for this one.
