SERVICE
Spotify advertising
What makes audio different is the quality of the attention. The listener cannot scroll past the ad, because there is nothing to scroll, and headphones are closer than any screen.
First plan in two weeks · No long contracts
In a social feed an ad competes with everything else on the same screen. In audio there is no competition: for thirty seconds the ad is the only thing being heard, and nothing fits beside it.
The trade-off is that the listener has nothing to click. That makes audio a poor channel for chasing the last click and a good one for making a brand familiar before anyone searches for it.
What we do
- A script that says one thing once and the name twice
- Voice casting and production, or use of the client’s own voice
- Targeting by moment: workout, commute, focus, cooking
- Region and age targeting, so media is not bought outside the service area
- Video and display formats for the moments when the app is open
In audio the first three seconds are what the first frame is to video. If it opens on music and general atmosphere, the message starts once half the time is already spent.
What audio suits
Audio suits building awareness, launching something and buying local reach. It suits products that are easy to grasp by ear: an event, a date, an opening, an offer that runs for a week.
It does not suit selling a complex service, and it does not suit a budget that stretches to only a few thousand impressions. Audio needs repetition to work, and too small a budget delivers repetition to too few people.
What we do not promise
We do not promise that an audio campaign shows up in the conversion report while it runs. Usually it does not, and if someone promises that it will, ask how it was measured.
We have also not published a Spotify case, so there is no reference on this page. The channel is a defensible part of a media mix for us, not a flagship.
How we measure
- Reach and frequency within the target group, not impressions alone
- Completion rate: how many heard the ad to the end
- Movement in branded search and direct traffic in the campaign area
- Sales by region, when the campaign is bought regionally

PROCESS
How an audio campaign is built
Audio needs repetition to work, so the budget is sized before a script is written.
Audience and area
We narrow the listener group by region, age and listening moment, and work out whether the budget reaches the repetition it needs.
The script
One message, the name twice, and the first three seconds spent on substance. Fifteen or thirty seconds depending on what there is to say.
Production
A voice actor or the client’s own voice, music and mix. The same script usually becomes two versions so there is something to compare.
Running and follow-up
The campaign runs over a long enough period, and the effect is followed through branded search and regional sales rather than clicks.
WHAT WE TRACK
What the monthly report says
Reach
how many of the target group heard it
Frequency
how often the same listener heard it
Completion
how many heard it to the end
Brand search
the shift in demand in the campaign area
WHEN WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS
Three situations where we say no
A small budget
Audio needs repetition. If the budget stretches to one impression per person, the money belongs in a channel that produces a measurable enquiry.
A complex service
Thirty seconds will not explain a service that needs comparison and calculation. That wants a longer form.
When the result is needed this month
Audio moves demand with a lag. If the quarter turns on next week, this is not the channel.
FAQ
Frequently asked about Spotify advertising
How is audio advertising measured?+
Not by clicks, because there is nothing to click. We measure reach and frequency within the target group, completion rate, and the change in branded search and direct traffic in the campaign area.
How long should the ad be?+
Usually fifteen or thirty seconds. What decides it is the opening: if the first three seconds are atmosphere, the message starts once half the time is spent.
Can it be targeted to just our area?+
Yes. Region, age and listening-moment targeting means no media is bought outside your service area. For a local advertiser that is the whole point of the channel.
Do you have a Spotify case study?+
No published case, so there is no reference on this page. The channel is a defensible part of a media mix for us, not a flagship.
